The calculator converts each component score to a percentage, multiplies it by that component's weight, and compares completed weighted work with the target grade.
Weighted score = (score / max score) x component weight
Practical example
If homework is 40% of the grade and exams are 60%, the calculator combines each weighted score and estimates what is needed on ungraded work.

- Final exam: blank score, weight 30%
