Privacy Policy

Daily Calcs (“we”, “our”, “the site”) is a free calculator tool. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and what we don’t do with it.

What we collect

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site. When you visit, Google Analytics automatically collects:

• Pages visited and time spent on each page
• Referring website or search query that brought you here
• Browser type, operating system, and screen size
• Approximate geographic location (country/region - not precise)
• IP address (sent to Google, anonymized before storage)

This data is aggregated and used solely to understand traffic patterns and improve the site. We do not use it to identify you personally.

Google’s privacy policy governs how Google handles this data: policies.google.com/privacy. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Sentry (error monitoring)

We use Sentry to detect and diagnose technical errors on the site. When an error occurs in your browser or on our servers, Sentry may automatically collect:

• The page URL where the error happened
• Browser type, operating system, and device information
• A technical stack trace describing the error
• Approximate session timing related to the error

We configure Sentry not to collect calculator input values, HTTP request bodies, or personal user profile data. Error reports are used solely to fix bugs and improve site reliability - not for advertising or marketing.

Google Search Console

We use Google Search Console to monitor search performance (which queries lead to the site, click-through rates, indexing status). This is passive - it does not collect any data directly from your browser session.

What we do not collect

• Calculator inputs are never transmitted or stored. All calculations happen in your browser. We never see the numbers you enter.
• We do not require accounts, logins, or email addresses.
• We do not run ads or share data with advertising networks.
• We do not sell or rent any data to third parties.

Cookies

The site uses two types of cookies:

• Analytics cookies - set by Google Analytics to distinguish unique visitors and sessions (e.g. _ga, _gid). These expire after 2 years and 24 hours respectively.
• Theme preference - a small localStorage entry that remembers whether you chose light or dark mode. This never leaves your device.

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in settings. Blocking analytics cookies will not affect your ability to use the calculators.

Third-party links

Blog posts and pages may link to external sites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Check each site’s own policy before sharing personal information.

Children

Daily Calcs is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
